A walk down Main Street looked very different in the early part of the 1900's!

The Mount Pleasant Bank was a private bank organized in 1878. The First National Bank was organized in 1864. Both banks occupied the same building. The picture on the left is dated 1910.
The Mount Pleasant Memorial Hospital occupied the lot where PNC Bank's drive-thru and borough parking lot are now located. The hospital opened in 1904. It was replaced by our current hospital in the mid 1960's.
Further down Main Street we come to the Ruder Inn. Next door was The Pgh. Tailoring Shop. Burns' Drug Store and Kropf's Jewelry currently occupy this part of the street. The picture on the left is dated 1910.

I hope you have enjoyed this little walk down memory lane! Be sure to stop back.
