I am hitting major roadblocks at finding any information about their parents - Charles Carey and Nellie Hewing Cheesebrough; Neil and Ella Holdridge MacGillvary. Giovanni Cristoforo (John Christopher) arrived in Mt. Pleasant in 1893. He was a painter and he was still a painter in 1897 when he got married. We were told that he painted murals. I am trying to find any information about the work he did. Also his father, Frank Cristoforo, supposedly lived in Mt. Pleasant before Giovanni arrived. Frank was a stone masson. I would like to find stone buildings that were built during that time period (1886-97). Also to find out if there was a stone quary in Mt. Pleasant.
