FINDLEY - TROUT I am looking for the grave of Sarah (GROSS) FINDLEY who died 22 Dec 1877/8 in Scottdale, PA. Was she buried in or around Mt. Pleasant, because Scottdale did not have a cemetery yet? Sarah is the daughter of David GROSS, who is buried at Seanor's Church. Also the graves of Jesse FINDLEY and his wife Mary (TROUT) FINDLEY. Jessie died in Jan 1850, but Mary did not die until after the 1860 Census.

Some of the Foody family brothers (13 of them!) used Swift as well) My g. grandfather's wife was an Oliver, and some of her family came as well. They moved on to Chicago around 1895, but some of their family remained. Some of the brothers married McNicholases and McDonaughs. Many worked in steel, and Thomas Foody helped start the steel unions, and there were whisperings about his ties to the Molly McGuires.

My father (Kenneth Harry Freeman)was born in Mt. Pleasant, PA, June 13, 1911; his parents were Harry Freeman and Anna Daniels Freeman. They had one other son(Roland) who died of heart problems at about nine years of age. Anna Daniels Freeman died from pneumonia (I think) around 1911 when my father just a few months old. Harry Freeman remarried and moved to Moundsville, WV with his 2nd wife and my father sometime after that.

Martha Gallatin, my g grandmother was born June 29, 1855 in Westmoreland Co. My information is that she first married Linley Lutellice Walker abt. 1879. One son, John H. Walker is known to have been born in Everson, Pa. Linley Walker died April 13, 1887 and Martha remarried Jacob Dick on July 3, 1888. They resided in Scottdale, Pa. They had two children: Frank Dick b. 1889 and Emma Dick b. 1891. She divorced Jacob Dick on March 10, 1894 and married for the third time a James S. Hamilton, b. May 13, 1856 on July 29, 1896 by a Justice of the Peace named Jos. K. Eicher. James was a flagman on the railroad. They had at least one son, William K. Hamilton, b November 4, 1896 in Scottdale on Grant Street. James and Martha are found in the 1900 Scottdale Boro federal census on Grant Street. Living with them are Frank and Emma Dick. I'm looking for ANY information on Martha especially her death date/place. Or any of the above named relatives.

Peter and Magdelena Stover/Stouffer travelled to Westmoreland County, PA around 1808. They settled in Bullskin Twp. There son Jacob b.1804 d.1877 married Mary "Polly" Shelky. Some of my family still lives in the area. I am trying to find out if there were more than one family with the name Griger/Grigor living in Mt. Pleasant during the early 1900's. I've found the 1900 census with the name Griger on it, this is my family. I found a grave site at the Slovak cemetery with the name Grigor on it. The same people or different? The current spelling is Gregor. Anyone with information about the early Grigers please let me know. My relatives are not sure about the past and I only get back there once a year. My Great Grandparents were John and Anna and lived in Mt. Pleasant. My Grandparents were John and Catherine Griger and are buried at the Polish cemetery.
