Uncle James Johnson who emigrated to Pittesburgh and worked for the McKlintick Steel Co. around 1912. he was born in Wrockwardine Wood nr Oakengates, Wellington Shropshire circa 1890 his father was Jabez Johnson and his mother was Mary Stevens nee Leyland. Hello, I'm looking for any information about my grandfathers family. His name is Alexander Jozwiak, he was either born in Mt. Pleasant or Trauger, Pa. in 1908. His parents were Anthony (Anton) and Mary Agnes, madian name Febiszewski. Anthony's parents were Casper and Pauline Ursula, madian name unknown. Mary's parents name were John and Mary, both are supposed to be buried in Pa., I think New Haven and Fairchance, and both Casper and Pauline are supposed to be buried in Pa. too.Also Mart Agnes had a sister (i think) named Josephine, who I think married a Anthony Glowacki. If you have any information it would be a great help, also I live in the Hampton Roads section of Va. If I can be of any help just let me know, thanks

My great grandfather Richard Keller married Lillian Johnson in Fayette County PA in the 1880s. On the marriage license he said he resided in Mt Pleasant Township, Westmoreland County, PA. His parents were listed as George W. Keller and Mary E. Could his parents possibly be George Keller and Mary Elizabeth Hitchman? Richard died young in a train accident near Uniontown.

I have been looking for information to haary kirkwood his wife was mary bell Hunter. They had seven children, Earl Ralph, Clyde, Idia, Dorothy Meril and roy who ided at 16yr. I have found that Allegany county was part of Westmarland County at one time and I have not been able to find referance to the surname in the county court house. The Douglas surname is from George E, douglas and his wife Anna Bell Wetzel,was my grand mothers maiden name. They lived in salerville and had seven children Cordelia, Emmitt, Charles, Allie, Annie, Bud and one child died clifford, htat died. I believe all are passed away from both surnames. I am looking for info about a family of Knox. The father was John Knox, Jr. He was from Westerville, OH. He married and then worked on trains. He was killed while a freight conductor on Jersey Central railroad on May 29, 1880. He was thiry years old at the time of his death. His wife took him to be buried in her parents' town of Mt. Pleasant, PA. John's wife's name is not in the obit nor are his two children. However, I think the kids' names might be Roy J. and Clelia but not really sure. If anyone knows about wife's name, DOB, and the kids too, I would appreciate a response.

Kozbelt Family settled in Mount Pleasant in about 1888. They came from the Slovakia Region of the Austria-Hungary Empire of that time. Most 1st and 2nd generation Kozbelt Family Members are buried in the Visitation Slovak Parish Cemetery located on the edge of the town. There once was a "Miller and Kozbelt" Meat Market on Main Street from about 1914 to 1935. Some Kozbelts moved to Pittsburgh where some reside today. Others remained in Mt. Pleasant. Today C and K Composites is operated by a Kozbelt as is Mullin House Antiques. Please add the Kozbelt Surname to the Mt. Pleasant Surname list as it has and continues to be an intergral part of Mt. Pleasant history since about 1888.
