My grandfather, Ogle Leo Long, was born in either Mt. Pleasant or Stauffer on Feb. 1, 1891 to Samuel Long and Martha Charlotte (Mackey) Long. My father, John Mackey Ogle Long was born in Mt. Pleasant on Oct. 14, 1914 to Ogle Long and Mathilda Julianna Blume Long. Any info would be appreciated. My grandfather maintained some connection to Mt. Pleasant, for when he moved from Pittsburgh to Sharon, he opened a gift/printing shop in Sharon. Some of the gifts were Bryce glassware. My siblings and I, and probably my cousins, all have china closets full of this glassware.

I am looking for information on my g-g-g-grandfather whose name was John S. Long born abt 1829 according to my only living uncle, John S. Long was born in Westmoreland Co., he married Mary A. Swank daughter of Daniel Swank also of Westmoreland Co.,after John & Mary were married they moved to Armstrong Co., Pa. where they lived until their deaths. John S. died in 1897 in Armstrong Co., Pa. They had the following children;

My father John Long was born in Mt. Pleasant in 1914. His father Ogle Leo Long was born there in 1891. Ogle's father was Samuel Long. I think Samuel may have had a sister who married a Slonecker.

My grandfather was born and raised in the area of Mt. Pleasant , PA. His name was John Crise Lowe. We would like to find out any information available regarding the name Crise and Lowe. We do not know why his middle name was Crise. We also no nothing about his parents or family, other than his mothers name was Jennie or Jenny. Thanks for your help.

The Lukac family members were all baptized and married at Visitation Catholic Church in Mount Pleasant Pennsylvania in Westmoreland County. My grandmother, Mary Ann Lucas (Lukac) was born 9/1/1895 to John Lukac and Anna Zemba Lucas. John and Anna were married in Latrobe, PA in approximately 1887.

William Lynn born Nov. 17, 1800 Cuniguging Co. Pa. Does anyone know is this a County, township, or region? Cannot find it listed as a county in Pennsylvania. William Lynn married Sally Hughes on June 12, 1823 at Georgetown, Brown Co., Ohio. They moved to Sangamon Co. , IL and a son was born, John A. Lynn, on June 16, 1828. John A. Lynn married and had nine children all born in Cass, Co. , IL between 1851 and 1870. I am a decendent of this branch of the family and most of us live or have lived in Mason, Sangamon, Cass and Menard Counties of Central Illinois.
