Zalmon Colborn Rush, was professor at Western Penn. Classical and Scientific Institute in Mt. Pleasant at time his son Joseph Benjamin Rush was born to his wife Chloe Woodworth Rush in 1879. He was a Baptist Minister that operated out of Mt. Pleasant a number of years in different churchs in the area. He left here, went to Nebraska and eventually to California.

I am searching for information about my husband's family: William Sandles who was born in Westmoreland County, Pa. in 1806, probably in the country near Mt. Pleasant. He married Maria Marshall probably in Indiana Co. Pa. The family moved to Indiana Co, near Clarksburg, by 1860 where Willima farmed. Geroge and Elizabeth Schaeffer lived two and one half miles from Greensburg on the Mount Pleasant road in the early 1800's. He was known as "Blue Dyer" Schaeffer, and they may have been related to the Truxals. Their daughter Mary Elizabeth was born in 1820. I'd be grateful for any information on the family.

Their children were all born bet. 1795 and 1809. in PA. Additional surnames listed above all relate to the spouses of the Shadrach children listed above.
These Shadrachs were mainly from Donegal, Westmoreland CO., but have been found in Mt. Pleasant (children of Robert Jr.) and Somerset and Allegheny Counties.

My gggg-grandfather was Andrew Purkeypyle Greer Shaw. He died in 1903 and is buried in the Greenlick Cemetary. My great-great-grandfather was Joseph Paoli Sheppard married to Mary Catherine Kern. They homesteaded in Abilene, Kansas where my great grandmother Catherine Sheppard (married to Wilson Geary) was born in 1877. They returned after a short time and lived in Tarrs near Mt. I am looking for information on our grandfather, John Paul SHERBER.
He was born Aug. 3, 1902, location unknown. He married Anne May (CHISHOLM),
born Malignant Cove, Antigonish, Nova Scotia, on June 3, 1929. Marriage location also unknown.
He died Feb. 10, 1932. We have been told he passed away with either pneumonia or
T.B. in Lynn, Massachusetts, however we have been unable to locate a death certificate for him in Massachusetts. We thought, perhaps we should be searching the states that have a city named Lynn. Any information on this man would be greatly appreciated.

I am researching my gr-gr-gr-Grandfather's family that immigrated to Mt. Pleasant Twshp. Westmoreland Co., PA from Lancaster County in approximately 1802. His name was John Shipe, Sr. b ABT 1748 in PA and d ABT 1805 in Mt. Pleasant. Wife';s name was Catarine b ABT 1752 amd d 10-17-1836 in Mt. Plesant. The children included Henry (1798), Mathias (11-5-1801) Abraham (1803), John H. (1867), Isaac (AB 1815), Catherine 9 1774) Mary Emily (11-3-1803, Susanna (1807), and Margaret (b 1816). All of the children except Henry and Mathias were born in Mt. Plesant. Both John Sr. and Catarine died in Mt. Plesant. I would appreciate having any information that exists about them.
