Kecksburg Pennsylvania UFO

As a kid, I was pumping gas into a car at a SOHIO gas station, on Clifton Blvd, Rocky River Ohio. It was in the afternoon, about 4 or 5PM. All of a sudden everything got bright, like a flashbulb went off. I remember looking at the bumper of the car that I was pumping the gas into, and I could see the reflection of this blinding bright light. As i turned to look up, it had just passed and there was another flash, and I could see that whatever it was had split into 2 or 3 pieces. The smoke trail in the sky looked like a pitch-fork, like a handle of luminecent smoke, then 3 prongs that pointed toward the south. The next day, i remember reading the Cleveland Plain Dealer article about the "Tri-State Meteor" observed by hundreds of people. I never knew about the connection with the Kecksburg incident until reading about it on the web! Neat, eh?

I don't know if what I saw is related to the Kecksburg incident or not. I am 45 years old. I do believe I was in 6th grade at time. Me and two Friends were playing baskitball at Regetcey School playground in Plum Boro. I remember looking up in the sky and seeing what looked like a metel garbage can on fire shooting across the sky. The speed that it was traveling seemed slower than what you would expect. My one friend seen it also. My other friend did'nt. I would very much like to know if anyone has any information on the path this thing took.

i do know after some research that according to a military personnell (retired) that on dec. 9,1965 the ufo that fell from the skies in acme,pa was investigated by three members of the " project blue fly" team this object was never brought to the project blue book team. there is on file doc. 8-26 "operation bluebook report"the exact note written by project blue fly team member. here is a perfect example of the "air force" denying this event exists but the report is taken from their own official files. how much more is hidden.
